This is a very special place just opposite a very special hotel restaurant in the mountains on the way from Ubud to Singaraja. I was paiting here and in the front of the painting were a lot of small trees, green. The painting was nice, exactly how it looks but I have not the good feeling so I put as usually when I have that feel the painting aside, look some times to it and then... yes. About a year late I saw it. I removed all the other trees and branches and this is the left over. A very special atmosphere, a little misty, far away a small forest and behind that the magic mountains of Bali.

A few days ago I had a discussion wih an industrial designer from Holland and she said to me that the impressionism is coming back.... that's nice, but for me it never was away. The whole life is impressionism. Seeing and feeling.... but you only can do it if you paint on location, like I always do. Painting the truth from your eyes and your feeling.
