I was invited to a party in the house of Tony where I arrived around four o'clock in the afternoon. This is the view from his terrace. I was flabbergasted and impressed to see this scenery. Intensive greens, all these different shades of colours.... incredible. And of course it was a must to paint this. The next day I came back, started to paint, with this result after eight days. Far away the Java Sea, the heavy clouds, and the early sunset. And the the pun with lotus flowers. This way the painting becomes multi-dimensional.
