Ernst Bauer, a real German man, who is building an incredible project on the seaside between Lovina and Singaraja. He is 72 years and still going strong, always optimistic and with a big smile. When he came to my house he said to me, "I am 72 your now and I want a portrait, can you make it? That is nice for my children as a memory when I am not there any more. And a real painted portrait will be always in the family..." and again Ernst showed his big smile. When I visit his house I get more and more respect for him. What he is building there really is incredible. He never shows a pensioners attitude. He has the character and a spirit of a man of say maximum 40 years old... he is a great guy and I made his portrait with a lot of respect and put his whole character in this painting.
