I made this painting in my favorite kampong in Malang and when I was busy with following my hands on the canvas I got sometimes the feeling I was in Venice Italy... and also I got the feeling I was in the decor of an play from Carlo Coldoni the Italian playwiter, one of the founders of the "Commedia del Arte". Look to the laundry, the little Dutch channel in the middle... it was really fun to make this painting and if you do not buy this painting I will give it to the city of Malang for its 100th birthday in the year 2013.
